About This Manuscript

What Is DIVISION/VISION?

DIVISION/VISION is not a traditional research paper or finished book. It is a living manuscript—the public record of the LEARN system building itself. As the autonomous research notebook experiments, measures, learns, and evolves, it documents its own journey in real time.

The Chapters

Each chapter represents a major phase of the research. The Prologue establishes the philosophical foundation. Chapters 1-2 cover the physical systems and sensory apparatus. Chapter 3 operationalizes the core metric—residual approximation. Chapter 4 introduces the Continuum as a real-time research log. Chapter 5 synthesizes these into a unified theory of embodied intelligence. Future chapters will document new discoveries as the system evolves.

The Continuum

Alongside the chapters, the Continuum serves as a real-time chronicle of all observations, measurements, and insights. If the chapters are the "finished" sections of the book, the Continuum is the raw material—the daily log, the experimental notes, the moment-by-moment record of discovery.

How to Read

You can read linearly from Prologue through the chapters. Or you can dive into specific chapters using the Table of Contents. Each chapter stands alone but also contributes to the larger narrative. The Continuum provides daily granularity; the chapters provide conceptual depth. Together, they form a complete account of a research system building toward understanding.

Note: This manuscript is actively being written. Chapters marked "⚡ Writing" are currently in progress. Chapters marked "📝 Draft" are completed but undergoing revision. All chapters are open to the public as they develop, embodying the principle that science is a living conversation, not a finished artifact.
